Baby Card for Twins
Hello and thanks for stopping by. Today my baby card project features the Special Delivery stamp set by Avery Elle. At first I did not know the genders of the twins I was making the baby card for. For this reason, I stamped and colored what I could and then waited to finish the card after I learned that the twins are both boys. 🙂
The first thing I did was select the stamp sets that I wanted to use. For the purpose of creating the word “twins” I selected an alphabet set from Studio L2E. In addition I used a massive message for the inside of the card from Gina K and the adorable Special Delivery stamp set by Avery Elle.
The second thing I did was create a template by tracing the front panel die so I could design my card to that size. You can see I tried a few different layouts. Then I cut out the front panel using the die I traced, a 4 x 5.25 Wonky Stitch Rectangle die.
Masking with Post It Notes
With the design finalized, I started stamping and masking with full adhesive Post It Notes on the card front panel. I masked off the storks feet so he appeared to be standing on a cloud. In addition I masked off the largest cloud and stamped a few small clouds in the background.
Coloring with Alcohol Markers (Spectrum Noir)
Next I selected colors and got coloring. Clouds; VB1, BGR1, BLENDER. Faces; FS1, FS2, PP3. Bird Feathers; IG1, IG3. Beaks and Feet; GB1,GB3, GB7. Blankets;, TB1, TB4. Stork Clothes; TB8, TB9, VB2.
For the purpose of adding more interest, I added sparkle to the baby blanket with the Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle pen. (Visible in the final picture.) In addition, I flicked sparkle droplets from the pen all over the card.
For consistency, I used the same white paper for an inside panel cut to 5 x3 3/4 inches. To add more interest I punched the four corners of the inside panel with one of my favorite Fiskars corner punches. Then using my MISTI I stamped a massive message from Gina K.
To complete my card project I cut and scored a blue A2 size card base and then attached my outside and inside panels. Then using my personalized handmade by stamp, I stamped the back of the card. Finally I stamped a coordinating greeting on the envelope and added two sets of booties, one for each twin.
It is hard to see the sparkle, but in real life it is very shiny. That completes my baby card. I hope you enjoyed my baby card project.

Because I could not fine the alphabet set that I used, I linked to an alternative option.
